4-H Doughnut Stand
If you live in or around Jefferson County, then you might know our church for the famous blueberry or cinnamon sugar doughnuts we make at the Jefferson County Fair! You may not know this, but our Doughnut Booth food stand began in 1962 when the Wedding Ring Sunday-School class got permission to sell ice cold lemonade at the 4-H fair. This booth was just in a tent. The weather that year was 45 degrees with blowing winds. Our profit in 1962 was $32.09.
It was two years later when we started selling doughnuts and profits raised to $286.45. Over the years, our church has added menu items to the doughnut stand, and have moved locations on the fairgrounds. But one thing has not changed and that is our love for this community.
In 2024, we look forward to partnering with the other Jefferson County United Methodist Churches to make this year's donut stand the best one yet! Our donut stand has a great history, and we are looking excitedly to its future. See you at the fair!
